I have so many ideas swimming around in my head that I have to get them all on paper, and because I like experimenting with different styles this means that there are many collections. So whether you’re looking for a glamourous, luxurious, simple or extravagant wedding we are sure to have something to suit you, and if not then the beauty of handmade is that we can tailor to your needs so please do not hesitate to contact us.
What more can I say, the title sums it up – this is my signature range and is suitable for everyone as it’s more about the relationship between the characters and the scene that the details of each person and is about the relationship between the characters. This range is inspired by my day job, and the familiar figures often added into sketches by architects and interior designers. The idea behind these ‘blob men’ (as my husband calls them) is that no matter who you are, where you are, or when you are there, it takes the smallest of things to create a smile. It doesn’t matter about who these characters are, the simplicity and overall scene will hopefully provoke a smile or few.
I absolutely loved designing my wedding dress and seeing it come to life with the help of my fab dressmaker Carol, but I miss the sketching and the dream of designing my dress so now I love to draw dresses and images of wedding couples based on fashion design, which has turned into my fashionista range. These designs are freehand sketched with a biro from my imagination, and help me get all the ideas in my head onto paper freely and allow me to add a whimsical and romantic feel to them.
This range is one of my faves as it feels like it’s making my illustrations extra special by hand screen-printing them all, so there has been extra time and attention put into each one. The screens are handmade using a Japanese technique called Gocco, which I do on a gocco machine at home and then create my own screen to then screen-print from. Please note that due to the handmade nature of screen-printing there will be slight variances and not all items will be identical. But it’s our quirks and imperfections that make us unique and who we are.
This range came about to just satisfy my love of sketching anything and everything. There’s something quite satisfying about carrying my sketchbook and biro around with me and being able to just sketch, doodle, and illustrate when the mood allows me. I draw my inspiration from all around, from loved up couples walking down the street to robins cuddling in the garden!
My love of textiles doesn’t just stop at making children’s clothes, and a few adults pieces too, I want to incorporate my fascination of pattern and sketching with my sewing machine into wedding stationery and of course bunting etc. A lot of work goes into creating each individual design and each textile piece is like an original painting/artwork, perfect for every unique relationship.
This is the more traditional of my ranges…
