As well as wedding stationery have you considered engagement announcement cards, or if you’re having an engagement party (you can never have too many celebrations!) we do a range of invites. If you’re just browsing before you pop the question we are more than happy to personalise cards or think of handmade items to play a part in the engagement, so please get in touch. My own husband proposed to me with a handmade notebook which said ‘Vix will you marry me’ on the front of it from Rachel at Made with love X, and it not only made the engagement extra special and personal but highlighted how well my husband knows me!
Dependent on how much notice you are giving your guests, save the dates are a good chance to get the date in as many diaries as possible so it doesn’t slip people’s minds, and also a good chance to announce your engagement if you haven’t already sent out engagement cards – I wanted the whole world to know our good news so I was practically designing the cards before we had even set a date, and my poor fiance had almost lost me to my sketchbook and pen before he knew what had hit him. Good job he knew me well enough to know what he was letting himself in for!
For us, the invites were one of the most important parts of our wedding, as it revealed our theme (Mad hatter’s tea party) and a few additional guest requests (all our guests were invited to wear hats.) This is the first part of the wedding that your guests can keep as a momento of your future lives together. There are many options for invites in many colour schemes, from traditional to contemporary, simple to extravagant or neutral to bright. So why not take a look here for our standard range of invites, and if there’s nothing you fancy then just send a message and we can discuss your ideas and needs.
We chose to have a simple church wedding in the very quaint and picturesque church within the grounds of our venue but knew that my husband’s family were not religious so the order of service had to be simple, clear and easy to follow without too much information. But each piece of stationery is made for YOU so you can decide how much information, and illustration needs to go in there. Again, this is a great momento for your guests so to have it in a style consistent with the rest of your stationery makes a great set to remind everyone of your special day.
These are for me one of the most exciting bits of information – what you are going to be eating! Also, this is a great opportunity to add your thanks to all those that have helped with making your day so amazing as no matter how hard you try I don’t think it should or could be done on your own. For some ideas have a look here for example menus.
When the wedding is over and you’re settling into married life don’t forget to thank all those that attended your big day, and may have given you gifts, words of advice and hugs.
